The Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market is held on Saturday & Sunday 29th – 30th November and 6th – 7th December from 10 am to 6 pm.
The Christmas market is placed in Odense’s old quarter by Sortebrødre Torv (Blackfriars Square) near the Hans Christian Andersen Museum. |
The booths sell assorted baked goods and hot drinks. In the mirror tent you can buy beer and sodas, glögg (Danish version of the German Glühwein), doughnut holes, etc.
In the old quarter you can find several restaurants and cafés that offer light refreshments.

The Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market draws a lot of visitors and it can be difficult to find a parking space in the area.
Because of this we recommend that you use public transport.
Note: The parking lot on the corner of Hans Mules Gade and Sortebrødre Stræde is reserved for the residents in the area and is not for public parking.
 |
Visitors can use public restrooms in the area.
