Odense city centre will be decorated with cozy and stylish Christmas lighting, thus providing the framework for several great Christmas events.

In Odense Christmas starts when we light the big Christmas tree on the city square on the last Saturday in November.
The Hans Christian Andersen Christmas Market in the old town is definitely worth a visit, providing you the feel of the old fashioned market sentiment from Hans Christian Andersen's own time.
The Funen Village invites you to an old-fashioned Christmas event. Experience a different and more evocative Christmas bustle in the streets and the old small houses than we know today.

Our city square hosts the city shopping Christmas market, where you’ll find Christmas decorations, unique presents and Christmas snack or two.

Christmas Events

	Lighting the Christmas Tree 26.11 The lights are lit on the big Christmas tree on Flakhaven - the City Hall square. There will be music and entertainment in the city and of course Santa will be here.
	H.C. Andersen Christmas Market 03.-04.12 & 10.-11.12 In the oldest part of Odense you can experience old fashioned market atmosphere with Christmas decorations, booths and lots of entertainment inspired by the fairy tale poet.
	WinterZoo 01.12- 01.03 (2012) In the WinterZoo the intimate atmosphere spreads; hot cocoa, lanterns, the frosty sky.

	Christmas In The Funen Village 26.-27.11 Experience a traditional Christmas atmosphere with oldfashioned countryside Christmas. There are plenty of activities to experience all over the busy Christmas Village.
	Charity Concert in the Catheral 26.11.2011 kl. 15 Inner Wheel, Rotary & Rotaract arrange this charity concert for the benefit og a local children's charity.
	Christmas Concert with Kurt Ravn 01.12. kl. 17 Kurt Ravn and guest soloist Lise-Lotte Nielsen will fill the Church of our Lady with traditional Christmas hymns and carols.
	Julekoncert med Postorkestret 03.-04.12 Traditional Christmas Concert at the concert hall featuring the Post Orchestra and soloists.
	City Christmas Market 16.-18.12 A sweet smell of Christmas and lots of good offers.
