Iron Age Market in Odins Odense

Ancient Crafts Come to Life at Pentecost

On May 18-19, children and adults can experience the crafts and cultural heritage of the Iron Age and Viking era at Odin's Odense Iron Age Village. The program includes sword fights, archery, and needle tattooing, along with over 30 stalls where artists demonstrate handcrafted techniques from ancient times.

Visitors can try crafts like needle binding and wickerwork, and Balder’s Archers offer archery challenges. The tournament field buzzes with excitement as warriors display ancient sword fighting and combat techniques multiple times a day, and you can also get tattoos inspired by ancient methods.

Explore houses furnished as in the Iron Age, where you can grind flour or listen to mythological stories. When hunger strikes, enjoy pit-roasted meat on flatbread and Iron Age wraps.

Tickets are available at the entrance, and parking is free.
