In Odense, you’ll find several beautiful bike routes. They’ve been tried and tested by the best, so don’t hesitate to give them a go.
MTB track along Stavis Å (River)
The track is located in the wooded area that surrounds the Stavis River, not far from the centre of Odense. The track is a one way track.
The Manor Route - Visit Fyn on your bike
Fruens Bøge, Skovsøen and Hollufgaard
Length: 39.6 km. If you don’t want to venture too far from Odense but still want to see a lot, this is the route for you. Start in Munke Mose and follow the trail past Odense Zoo, Fruens Bøge and Skovsøen. The ride continues through the upscale neighbourhood of Dalum and past the University of Southern Denmark, where energetic kids can burn off some steam at the sports grounds.
Stige Ø, HCA & the Cultural Botanical Garden
Length: 39.3 km. If you’re only going on one bike ride in Odense, make it this one. You’ll pass plenty of highlights—Stige Ø, the harbour and Byens Ø, the H.C. Andersen Forest, locals’ favourite oasis Munke Mose, and the beautiful Fruens Bøge forest. This route is suitable for everyone and ideal for families, with lots of playgrounds along the way.
Langesø and Elmelund Forest
Length: 44.3 km. Want to feel the burn in your legs and get your heart rate up—while riding under a canopy of trees? Then this is the route for you. Start at Byens Bro, ride along the Stavis brook and into Hole Forest, continuing to Langesø and through the Hesbjerg and Elmelund forests.
Enebærodde, Hasmark & Dallund Castle
Length: 84.5 km. If you're up for a longer ride and want to discover what northern Funen has to offer, this is your route. Start from Byens Bro and cycle along the Odense Canal heading north, passing attractions like Hofmansgave Manor, Halshusene, Enebærodde and Hasmark.
Odense – Klintebjerg
27 km each way. Want to escape the city buzz and enjoy nature—without committing to a full-day ride? Then the route from Odense to Klintebjerg is perfect for you. It's around 25 km each way and takes you through peaceful countryside, charming villages and beautiful views of the fjord. A great half- or full-day trip with plenty of time for breaks.
Viking Cycle Route
Experience a slice of Funen’s fascinating Viking history from the saddle on one of the island’s most scenic cycling routes. The Viking Cycle Route on Funen is a 58-kilometre loop that takes you through landscapes and cultural heritage steeped in stories from a bygone era.
