Autumn Holiday at Tidens Samling
How did everyday life look when your great-grandmother was a child, or when your grandfather was young? This autumn holiday, the whole family can step back in time at Tidens Samling. Meet the Ladies of the Past, dress up in period fashion and explore historic living spaces where you're encouraged not only to look, but also to touch and discover.

Meet the Ladies of the Past
From Monday to Thursday during week 42, visitors can meet the Ladies of the Past, who bring different decades of the 20th century to life. Dressed in period clothing, they share stories about everyday routines, family life and the small details that shaped daily life in years gone by. With new stories and themes each day, there's always something fresh to experience.
Step inside the past
At Tidens Samling, history is not kept behind ropes or display cases. Take a seat in the furniture, open drawers and browse through books as you explore authentic interiors from different decades. It's a unique way to experience how everyday life changed throughout the 20th century.
The museum also offers an experience that brings generations together. While children discover a world they have never known, parents and grandparents often spot objects and surroundings they remember from their own childhood and youth.
Try vintage fashion
During the autumn holiday, both children and adults can dress up in original and period-style clothing, hats, wigs and accessories. The museum's popular dressing-up area is open throughout the week and offers a fun way to get even closer to the past. The historic surroundings also make a great backdrop for memorable holiday photos.
All activities are included with paid admission. You can also combine your visit with the museum's other exhibitions, including the special exhibition Young in the '80s, which explores youth culture during one of the most colourful decades of recent history.
