A homely café on Kochsgade

Café Nabo has a simple and informal setting. The two young owners renovated the premises themselves and have put their personal stamp on the interior. This is reflected in details such as the handmade wooden bar, which helps give the café its relaxed and welcoming character.

The front section of the café is small and intimate, with four or five tables. An additional room next door can be opened when the café is busy or welcoming groups. This room can also be closed off and booked for parent-and-baby groups, meetings and small gatherings. Contact the café directly to find out more about the available options.

Outside, there is plenty of room to sit at benches and café tables. Café Nabo is also working on creating a courtyard seating area.

Barista-made coffee, matcha and light dishes

The drinks menu includes a variety of barista-made coffees, homemade iced teas and matcha drinks. New varieties and seasonal drinks are added regularly. Kombucha and other soft drinks are also available, as well as beer and wine accompanied by light snacks such as olives or salted almonds.

For breakfast and lunch, the café serves a small selection of light dishes. Depending on the current menu, these may include sourdough toast, open sandwiches on sourdough bread with chicken salad and chives, focaccia sandwiches with salmon and smoked cheese cream, yoghurt bowls and tapas. Another option is sourdough bread topped with feta cream and roasted tomatoes, served on the café’s vintage pink plates.

A shelf in the café also stocks products from local and Funen-based producers, including coffee beans from Holy Bean, drinks from Naturfrisk and products from Nybro Frugtplantage.

Welcoming children and dogs

Café Nabo attracts guests of different generations. Parent-and-baby groups can meet here with their pushchairs, friends can catch up over coffee, and local residents can drop in on their own. The adjoining room has a play area for children, and there are also games for guests to borrow. Dogs are welcome too.
