Christmas lights at Brandts
On Friday 13 November, the Christmas lights will be switched on at Brandts Klædefabrik. Come along for an afternoon of Christmas lights, singing and seasonal treats as the festive season officially begins in the old factory courtyards.

As darkness falls over Brandts Klædefabrik, the many Christmas lights are switched on between the old factory buildings. In 2026, the annual Christmas lights switch-on takes place on Friday 13 November and is a lovely way to mark the start of the festive season in the heart of Odense.
The stalls open at 3 pm, offering treats including mulled wine, hot chocolate and Danish æbleskiver. Later in the afternoon, children can join in Christmas songs and games in front of the Amfi Stage. At 5 pm, there will be a speech followed by a countdown to the switching on of the Christmas lights. Afterwards, the programme continues with a festive sing-along led by Torben Smige and Anders Møller.
The event takes place among the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions of Brandts Klædefabrik, so you can easily combine the Christmas lights switch-on with a visit to the rest of the area.
