Greek loukoumades, koulouri and ladenia

If loukoumades are not already part of your vocabulary, Doughpamine is a great place to discover them. These small, deep-fried dough balls come in several varieties. You can choose the traditional combination of Greek thyme honey, cinnamon and walnuts or opt for something sweeter, such as chocolate and roasted pistachios. You can also create your own combination of toppings.

The menu also features koulouri, the distinctive Greek sesame bread that is crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. At Doughpamine, it is served with options including Danish cheese, whipped butter or Greek thyme honey. If you prefer something savoury, try ladenia, a Greek flatbread with olive oil, tomato and onion. Greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts and the cake of the day are also on the menu.

Greek coffee on Kongensgade

The coffee menu has a Greek twist too. Alongside familiar café classics such as espresso, cappuccino, flat white and latte, you can order a freddo espresso or freddo cappuccino. Both are cold coffee drinks that are a natural part of Greek café culture. Frappé and V60 filter coffee are also on the menu.

Doughpamine prepares its food fresh every day using its own recipes, combining traditional Greek flavours with a few Danish touches. The café is located at Kongensgade 19, making it an easy place to stop by while exploring central Odense.

From fellow chefs to Doughpamine

Doughpamine is run by Michael and Marko, who met while working together as chefs. It was during this time that the idea of opening their own place, serving traditional Greek baked goods and Greek coffee, began to take shape. Odense was the natural choice, as they both live here with their families.
