French brasserie by Skovsøen

The brasserie at Restaurant Skoven takes its inspiration from classic French cuisine. The menu features dishes familiar from French brasseries and bistros, prepared with quality ingredients and respect for traditional culinary craftsmanship.

You’ll find dishes such as steak tartare, salade niçoise and chèvre chaud on the menu, while classic desserts including crème brûlée and crêpes Suzette offer a fitting end to the meal. Choose as many or as few courses as you like, or order several dishes for the table if you would like to try a little of everything.

From morning coffee to a drink by the fireplace

The setting is an integral part of the experience at Restaurant Skoven. Old beech trees, the stream and Skovsøen create a leafy backdrop, while views from the restaurant change with the seasons.

The café starts the day with freshly baked bread, cakes and coffee to enjoy on the spot or take with you for a walk around Skovsøen. Later, stop by the bar for a pre-dinner drink or round off the evening with a glass by the fireplace. Restaurant Skoven is therefore also somewhere you can simply drop in, without necessarily sitting down for a full meal.

A restaurant with a history

For generations, the building by Skovsøen has welcomed guests for meals and gatherings, and many people in Odense have fond memories associated with the place. Today, brothers Michael and Lasse Koch are behind Restaurant Skoven, bringing new life to the historic restaurant as a French brasserie, café and bar.
