Meet Alba, Odense's dog guide
Shih Tzu, eight years old, proud resident of Odense and self-proclaimed expert in cosy living. My name is Alba, and I love days filled with adventure. I've spent most of my life in Odense, so I know the city well and am always happy to share my favourite tips as your four-legged guide.

My green sanctuary
I have a special soft spot for Eventyrhaven, where I can sniff my way through the changing seasons, greet passers-by and enjoy long walks. Autumn is my favourite time of year. I love the golden leaves, the crisp air and the winding paths that seem made for long strolls. There's always something new to discover here, whether the sun is shining or the leaves are rustling beneath my paws.
As much as I love my hometown, I'm also a bit of a globe-trotting dog. I even have my own pet passport and enjoy travelling with my owner and best friend, Anna. New places bring new scents, new adventures and plenty of exciting experiences. But no matter where I go, there's always something special about returning to Odense. After all, there's no place like home.
Cafés, shopping and city life
Whenever we're in the mood for a little extra indulgence, we often stop by one of the city's cafés. My personal favourite is Café Deilig, where they always remember something that should be standard everywhere, if you ask me: a fresh bowl of water. While the humans enjoy a coffee, I can relax and watch the world go by. It's the perfect break between adventures.
Shopping is another of my favourite activities. I'm just as happy sitting in a shopping basket as I am walking alongside my humans while we explore the city. One of my favourite shops is Baxter & Bobby Bloom, where the colourful displays and quirky details give me plenty to look at. And I've learned that if you're particularly well-behaved and give your most charming look, there's often a dog biscuit waiting by the counter. That's what I call good customer service.

When we're heading further across town, I'm always happy to jump into a bicycle basket. From there, I can keep an eye on the streets and make sure we're heading towards some of Odense's best experiences. It's one of my favourite ways to discover the city because there's always something interesting happening along the way.

Adventures with your dog
I also enjoy joining Anna when she takes part in creative activities. At Kunstnær, I can relax and enjoy the cosy atmosphere while she explores her creative side. I quickly find a comfortable spot where I can settle down and watch the inspiring projects taking shape around me. It's a lovely break for both of us and yet another experience that makes the day feel a little more special.
Back at home, life is all about comfort. I love being cuddled and curling up close to my humans.
And before you go, here are two fun facts about me: when winter arrives and the cold starts nipping at my nose, I love wearing a warm jumper on our walks. In summer, though, it's a different story. I love spending time at the beach and rarely turn down an opportunity to splash around in the shallows and cool off.
Odense has my heart
Although I love travelling and discovering new places, there's no doubt where my heart belongs. Odense will always be my favourite destination. I know the city's cafés, walking routes and shopping streets inside out, and I'd like to think I know exactly where to find the cosiest paths, the best water bowls and the most dog-friendly experiences.
