Port of Odense - beautiful nature and industrial charm

The Port of Odense was built in the early 1800s, and much has happened since then. After more than 150 years as a busy industrial port, the harbour is now being transformed into a new, exciting area with a burgeoning cultural life.

The harbour district draws clear references to the past in the form of the many preserved and "recycled" buildings, and the area offers activities and experiences for both locals and tourists.

Attractions and Activities

Several sports fields have been set up on Byens Ø (City Island); beach volleyball, pétanque, crossfit and parkour, in addition to the mini golf course located next to the Football Factory. As well as playing football, you can laze on the beach under the palm trees and enjoy refreshments from Fodboldfabrikken (the Football Factory bar).
