Tina Abdulla – handball player with a love of Odense’s cafés and green spaces
For Tina Abdulla, life in Odense is about enjoying the little things – a good cup of coffee at a local café or a walk in the park. Originally from Norway, with roots in North Macedonia, she combines her handball career with studies in digital marketing and management.
What I love most about Odense
One of the things I like most about Odense is its size. There are always new places to discover, yet the city still feels friendly and easy to get around. I love exploring new cafés and restaurants, and Odense has so much to offer. There's always somewhere new to grab a coffee or enjoy a meal. But when it comes to recommendations, one place stands out.
If you haven't tried the meatball focaccia at In Nomine Panis, I promise you won't be disappointed.
I also keep coming back to places like Olea Specialty Coffee House, Café Sølle, Surdejsbrødet, I Pupi Siciliani and Tandoori BBQ at Storms Pakhus. And when I fancy something different, Jays Döner has quickly become another favourite.

Exploring the city's shops
When I'm not sitting in a café or trying out new places to eat, I enjoy browsing the city's shops. Dr. Adam's, Se Chloe and Magasin are among the places I often visit, but I also love hunting for treasures in the city's second-hand shops.
I love finding unusual things, so I can easily spend hours browsing Odense's many second-hand shops.Tina AbdullaHandball player

Places I keep coming back to
There are so many places in Odense that I never get tired of visiting. Hans Christian Andersen House and Brandts are among my favourite attractions. I particularly enjoy places where I can experience culture and find inspiration. When I need to unwind, I often head to Eventyrhaven or Munke Mose.

Staying active my own way
For me, being active isn't just about sport. Of course I love handball, but on my days off I might just as easily visit Odense Zoo, enjoy a sauna infusion session or take a walk along the river, admiring the beautiful houses around Munke Mose. Sometimes the best thing is simply to wander around and explore the city at my own pace.

My perfect day off in Odense
My perfect day off starts with sunshine and a morning walk. Afterwards, I find a cosy place for lunch and coffee, preferably somewhere I can sit with a book, read for a while and watch the world go by.
I love those days when you can take your time and simply enjoy everything going on around you.Tina AbdullaHandball player
As evening approaches, I like to round off the day with a glass of wine in town with good friends. It's the combination of cosy cafés, green spaces, cultural experiences and that sense of connection that makes Odense feel like home to me.
